Terms of service
These terms apply to your use of the Jirani app and this website, provided by JT Sterling Group LLC ("JT Sterling", "we"). By creating an account or using Jirani you agree to them. Jirani is currently in testing and not yet publicly released; features described here may change before launch.
What Jirani is
Jirani is a platform that helps customers find, book and review independent local service providers. Providers are not employees or agents of JT Sterling. The agreement for a job is between the customer and the provider, and the provider is responsible for the work they do.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
- Give accurate information and keep your profile up to date.
- Your account is for you alone. Keep your phone and sign-in codes secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Using Jirani fairly
You agree not to:
- post false, misleading or illegal tasks, profiles, reviews or vouches;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger anyone;
- offer or request work that is illegal or unsafe;
- interfere with the app, attempt to access other accounts, or copy data from it at scale.
Payments
Prices are agreed between customer and provider. Unless the app clearly states otherwise for a particular booking, payment is made directly between them, for example by mobile money, and JT Sterling does not hold or process the money. If we introduce in-app payments or fees, we will show them clearly before you book and update these terms.
Reviews and content
You keep ownership of the content you post, such as profile details, photos and reviews. You give JT Sterling permission to host, display and use it to operate and promote Jirani. Reviews must reflect real experience. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.
Disclaimers
Jirani is provided "as is" while in testing. We do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any job, or that a provider or customer is who they claim to be, although vouches, ratings and reviews are there to help you decide. Use your judgement and take sensible precautions when meeting people.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, JT Sterling is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss or damage arising from work arranged between users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
