About JT Sterling
JT Sterling Group LLC is a small software company building apps for local service work in East Africa.
We started JT Sterling in 2026 to solve a problem one of our founders knows first-hand: in fast-growing East African cities, finding someone reliable for an everyday job, such as a repair, a delivery or a deep clean, depends on who you happen to know. Good providers are out there, but there is no trusted, simple way to find them or to show the quality of their work.
Our approach is to build on the trust that already exists between neighbours, customers and the workers they rely on, rather than replace it. We design for the phones and connections people actually have: affordable Android devices, intermittent data, sign-in by phone number and payment by mobile money.
