02 The problem & solution

Finding reliable help shouldn’t depend on who you know.

Everyday tasks like repairs, cleaning, moving and errands often start with a phone call, a recommendation or a group chat. Finding the right person can take time.

Skilled professionals face the other side of the same problem: reaching new customers beyond the people they already know.

KaziGo is being designed to bring local services into one place, so people can find providers, request help and communicate clearly, with trust built through service histories and feedback.

04 More than convenience

Building opportunity. Giving purpose to progress.

We believe technology can strengthen local economies by helping skilled professionals reach more customers, making everyday services more accessible, and creating opportunity on both sides of every task.

For founder Jewel Torres, this mission is personal. She first came to Tanzania as a teenager through missionary work.

Her long-term vision is to bring that journey full circle, using future business success to support vulnerable children.

Our long-term ambition is to use the success of KaziGo to help expand access to life-changing medical treatment for vulnerable children in Tanzania.

In the future, we hope to explore partnerships with established medical institutions, potentially including Loma Linda University Medical Center. No partnership, donation program or medical funding is represented as currently established.

What we are working toward

  • More opportunity for local professionals
  • Easier access to everyday help
  • Stronger communities
  • A long-term commitment to children

05 Leadership

Different strengths. One shared commitment.

KaziGo brings together firsthand knowledge of Tanzania’s communities and deep experience in research and technology.

Jewel Torres

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Born in New York and raised in California, Jewel first came to Tanzania at age 14 with her family through missionary work. Loma Linda University Church was her home church in California.

She independently conceived KaziGo and developed its initial vision, concept video and user-experience direction. As Founder and CEO she leads the company’s vision, business strategy, brand, partnerships and Tanzania operations.

Jewel’s connection to Tanzania began not through business, but through service. At fourteen, she moved from California to Arusha with her family through a missionary experience connected to the Seventh-day Adventist General Conference; Loma Linda University Church was her home church in California.

Living in Tanzania shaped how she understood the everyday challenges people face and the opportunities local professionals deserve. Years later, she independently conceived KaziGo and developed its initial vision, concept video and user-experience direction. Today, as founder and CEO of JT Sterling Group LLC, she is working to translate that vision into a scalable business.

Her longer-term goal is deeply personal: to use the company’s future success to support children in need, including access to essential surgery and specialist medical care. For Jewel, it is a full-circle vision—from arriving in Tanzania through service to building something that can give back.
